FAMCO launches new range of R series rotary screw air compressors from Ingersoll Rand

The Power & Industrial Products Division part of Al-Futtaim Auto & Machinery Co (FAMCO) in conjunction with Ingersoll Rand, the leading manufacturer of industrial air compressors, launched the latest range of ‘R series’ 90-160kW contact-cooled rotary screw air compressors, at three exclusive product launch events held on June 21st at Al Hamra resort, R.A.K., June 22nd at InterContinental hotel, Dubai Festival City and on June 23rd at Shangri-la hotel, Abu Dhabi

The new line of R series compressors were designed based on extensive customers surveys from around the globe, a process taking circa 2,500 customers through “voice of the customer” and Voice of the channel surveys and our engineers focused on building in reliability, increased efficiency, productivity including making serviceability easier in this new range - said Steven Brightwell, the UK based Regional Marketing Manager of Ingersoll Rand

The new range includes many advanced features such as Progressive Adaptive Control (PAC) protection which is an integrated intelligent system that monitors filtration, ambient temperature and other parameters adapting the operation of the compressor in order to reduce energy consumption, lower the noise levels and maximize uptime of the compressor

Efficiency and energy saving benefits can be maximized from using the Variable Speed Drive (VSD) motor option that has virtually no degradation in specific power at partial load, with the built in Sequential Cooling feature reducing the CTD of the air down to 2 degrees will significantly reduce the energy required and the related cost of downstream compressed air equipment

The launch events were well attended by over 240 FAMCO clients including consultants, technical directors and project managers from a range of Industries such as Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Construction, Chemical and the Food & Beverage Industries
