June 08, 2010, FAMCO receives 'Material Handling Provider of the Year 2010' award

FAMCO was presented with the 'Material Handling Provider of the Year 2010' award at the annual Supply Chain and Transport (SCATA) awards which took place at the Grosvenor House hotel, Dubai on 2nd June.

This year's finalists were CHEP, Kanoo Machinery, SSI Schaefer and Span group, however FAMCO reclaimed its title from the inaugural awards ceremony in 2007.

With recent innovations in material handling creating an exciting market for products such as forklift trucks and warehouse racking and shelving, the award category won by FAMCO is aimed at suppliers who support companies in the Middle East, increasing their supply chain efficiency and reducing their operating costs through world-class products. FAMCO has continued to invest in its diverse product portfolio, despite a regional slowdown in the material handling market.

Thanking the judging panel for the award, Paul Floyd, Managing Director, FAMCO said: "Receiving the 'Material Handling Provider of the Year 2010' award is excellent news for the entire FAMCO team who, during the good times and the bad times, have remained fully committed towards the company's principles of striving for quality."
